Benefiting our Teens’ Global Service Learning Projects in 2013
On February 9th, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica will continue its Great Food for a Great Cause series. If you haven’t yet attended one of these dinners, we transform our outdoor area into a trendy bistro where we host a festive evening soiree featuring a 3-course dinner with wine for a great cause cooked by our special guest chef from the renowned Animal Restaurant. All proceeds from this event fund our local teen service learning projects, community service experiences & exploration abroad in 2013. In 2012, SMBGC took 12 teens to South Africa, England & Canada over the summer, where they had once-in-a-lifetime experiences in community service & exploration abroad.

Alex Chang, our guest chef for the evening, has worked in restaurants from his own Paladar (apartment-made restaurant) to LA and all the way to Japan. Chang has established himself as a sophisticated chef skilled in a wide variety of cuisines. His dynamic cooking technique, unique style and intense passion are made evident in each dish he plates.
